What I have dreamed of lately is my hometown:
MONTREAL
I haven’t been home in almost two years.
Last year, I did not include it in my traveling plans. I went to several other places but Montreal did not call me home. I am not sure really why.
But now I miss it and I miss it a lot.
I miss it so much that I even started following Montreal in Pictures – a blog dedicated to post on a daily basis beautiful pictures from Montreal. Everyday I check the blog posts to see my hometown in pictures and remember some of the places, learn about what is new in the city, events that take place etc. Martin is a fabulous photographer and I thank him very much for sharing his work with us fellow readers.
So I am dreaming…
To see my family and friends
To go to my favorite Greek restaurants
To walk around the Plateau and stopping to have a latte with a croissant
To eat Brie Cheese and Baguette
To have drinks at McKibbins Irish Pub (my hangout through out university)
To have a Poutine from LaFleur after a night out with the girls
To hang out on Rue St. Andre (Stef you know it)
To go for happy hour with the friends
and the list just goes on…
But one of the most important things I am dreaming of is to assure that one of my best friends has a memorable wedding day.
I have been fortunate to have her in my life for the past 15 years, if not more.
So, Montreal here I come… August 22, 2012… I will arrive… and my dream will finally become reality!
A blog post about Montreal without mentioning:
Montréal, c’est toi ma ville et j’y serai toujours un peu nostalgique…
Grand Corps Malade te decrit à merveille dans sa chanson dedié à toi, Montréal!
is incomplete.
